These little pixel testers are awesome!  The use the LED Hue app available on iOS/Android and can be powered by a 5-24v power supply and has an xConnect plug!

The app is simple - select the number of pixels, and then apply solid colors or patterns. 

We include a 12v, 2amp (24w) power supply with this tester.

What's it good for?

We love these things for 2 main purposes - #1 is prop troubleshooting - before you decide you have a bad pixel, drop one of these in and select a number of pixels higher than what you have connected -you can instantly see what lights up, and what doesn't to rule out controller/configuration issues.

#2 is prop/pixel testing - we always love to light up our pixels when we're pushing them into props, and this works perfectly.

#3 - Off-season or non-show pixel use: Plug one of these babies in to a strand of pixels on your indoor tree, back deck pixels, or anywhere you want to plug in some pixels and make it look pretty.  It doesn't have any scheduling capability, but just offers simple pattern control to light up any space with pixels!  Use it with a dawn/dusk timer or smart plug for simple on/off functionality to decorate your deck or yard in the off-season!
