The JBL CSS-1S/T is a versatile compact two-way loudspeaker designed for use on 70V/100V distributed speaker lines or in 8-ohm direct mode. It is voiced for maximum speech clarity and intelligibility, making it suitable for foreground and background music applications in environments such as retail spaces, cafés, classrooms, and offices.

It uses a 5.25-inch low-frequency driver and a 0.75-inch dome tweeter to deliver full-range sound with consistent coverage and includes a multi-tap transformer for distributed audio systems.
