Depence is a unique visualization application designed for professionals who need to simulate multimedia installations with precise, detailed, and realistic results. It is the ideal platform to control and pre-viz your entire show. All the physical and controlled characteristics of the real equipment are simulated in real-time with pinpoint accuracy — helping you eliminate the guesswork out of visualizing your designs.

Depence R4 is built around a modular architecture, allowing you to purchase only the modules relevant to your discipline. Whether you are a laser designer, lighting programmer, fountain engineer, pyrotechnics specialist, video operator, or full multimedia show producer, there is a Depence module built specifically for your needs. Each module integrates seamlessly with the others on a single unified show timeline, making Depence the most comprehensive multimedia pre-visualization platform in the industry.

Important: All Depence software requires a Depence R4 USB Dongle to operate. First-time customers must add the USB Dongle to their order. The dongle does not include any software license — at least one software module must also be purchased. Existing Depence 2 or Depence R3 customers do not need a new dongle when upgrading to R4.

Laser Module

• Function: Real-time design and visualization of laser projectors and laser effects

• Compatible Control Systems: Pangolin BEYOND and all major lasershow control systems

Stage Lighting Module

• Function: Real-time design and visualization of conventional and intelligent stage lighting fixtures
• Key Capabilities: Physical-based raytraced beam rendering, Gobos, Prisms, Shutters, Frames, multi-LED fixtures, PBR materials, tone-mapping, glass-lens rendering, IES intensity distributions, MVR and grandMA file import

Animation Module

• Function: Real-time rendering, animation, and presentation of complete multimedia show projects
• Key Capabilities: VR support, 3D video projection mapping with keystone/soft-edge/masking, integrated media server, NDI and network video streaming (Resolume, Arkaos, and more)

Fountain Module

• Function: Real-time design and simulation of water fountain installations and multimedia water shows
• Key Capabilities: Advanced hydrodynamic physics engine, modular snap-together device connections, intelligent dependencies for pipe/cabling simulation, supports all nozzle and fixture combinations

Special-FX Module
