Description
Description
The ENTTEC OCTO MK3 is a professional 32-universe eDMX-to-SPI LED pixel controller with standalone FX, flexible port configuration, Port Sync technology, and custom protocol creation in a compact 4-module DIN-rail form factor.
From the Manufacturer
The OCTO MK3 is ENTTEC's most capable pixel controller in the OCTO series, delivering up to 32 universes (16,384 channels) of eDMX-to-SPI pixel conversion — double the capacity of the OCTO MK2. Supporting up to 5,440 RGB or 4,096 RGBW pixels per device (1,360 RGB / 1,024 RGBW per port), the MK3 handles Art-Net, sACN, ESP, and KiNet protocols and outputs SPI (NZR) data at up to 100fps. With an industry-leading 5–60V DC input range, it can be powered directly from the LED pixel strips or dots via either port, eliminating the need for separate power supplies and additional cabling.
Each of the MK3's two multifunctional data ports supports up to 6 universes plus 2 universes in overdrive mode. When Clock-compatible fixtures are not required, enabling Split Port mode repurposes the Clock outputs as additional Data ports, expanding total output capacity. Port Sync technology ensures all ports remain synchronized regardless of protocol or universe differences, preventing visual inconsistencies across large installations. The inbuilt standalone FX engine allows gradient effects to be configured with real-time web interface previews and run automatically on power-up — no external DMX source required. Over 20 industry-standard pixel protocols are supported out of the box, and custom protocol creation is available for specialized applications via the web interface. Note: the OCTO MK3 does not require or use PLink Injectors. Purchase includes a free 16-universe licence for ENTTEC LED Mapper (ELM) 2024 software.
