Where do we begin? Simply put, the ONYX NXW is a big step forward for the ONYX consoles - it's the first piece of hardware in a new generation, and a significant upgrade for most users from the NX Wing.
What's new? They essentially have taken all of the feedback from users over the past 15+ years and rebuilt the hardware from scratch, carrying over design features from the NX1 like the True1 power input (with thruput on the NXW) and magnetic console attachment for connection to the NX1, K, P, and future hardware like the NX3.
New features include quieter, color-backlit faders, customizable backlit keys, completely redesigned keys which include a different sensitivity on programming (light/shallow) vs playback (long/heavier).
The NXW comes with a 16 universe ONYX license, which can be upgraded via an internal key, and also offers a ethernet port for any connected PC. It also can connect to ONYX consoles as a wing, which the NX Wing could not do.
