The S-PLAY SP1-1 is ENTTEC's flagship show recorder and playback controller, engineered for complex, large-scale lighting automation projects. It combines a 32-universe DMX recorder, a web-based scene creation engine with a built-in effects generator, a multi-protocol AV host, and a suite of advanced architectural control features — all in a single rack, surface, or DIN-rail mountable device. Record static and dynamic cues from sACN, Art-Net, or physical DMX input; build playlists using the intuitive timeline editor; and trigger playback in real-time via contact closure, RS232, OSC, UDP, DMX, Art-Net, sACN, or from building automation systems, iPad apps, pressure pads, motion detectors, or push buttons. A built-in LCD with buttons enables direct on-device management without a network connection.

The S-PLAY SP1-1 includes several advanced features not found on the smaller S-PLAY models. Remote access allows one or multiple S-PLAYs to be managed from anywhere in the world via the AWS cloud server. Multi-Sync enables a leader S-PLAY to synchronize follower S-PLAYs on the same network for recording and playback beyond 32 universes. An open HTTP and OSC API provides flexible integration with third-party control systems, Beckhoff PLCs (via free TwinCAT® library), and iPad apps. Firmware 3.2.1 introduces the free S-PLAY Programmer desktop app for offline show design on Mac or Windows, plus custom fixture profile creation directly on the device. Internal storage is 8GB — approximately 10 hours of 32-universe content at 44fps — expandable via removable USB or Micro SD card. Compatible with the ENTTEC I/O Extender for 20 additional digital inputs, 4 relays, and 2 analog inputs.
