Full Kit: Ultimate Arch Base with 4 White Braces (Dual and Triple)

This kit includes all of the custom parts required to make (1) SFL Designs Ultimate Arch.  Hardware and pipe listed below can be obtained locally.

These arch bases are sold as a set of two, and this bundle comes complete with 4 white Back Braces already sized to your Dual or Triple Arch configuration - no separate ordering needed. The braces attach to the back of the pipe to keep your arches perfectly spaced and held together.  This is typically all of the custom parts you need to build (1) Arch.

If you're building a single-tube arch, then you only need the set of Arch Bases.

These sets do not include the hardware or PEX pipe, but the links below will get you everything you need. Each base is sturdy on its own and interlocks with other arch bases using a 1/2" PVC pipe. That same interlocking pipe doubles as a wide footprint, keeping your arches from tipping forward or backward. Each base is also slotted for standard tent stakes so you can anchor it to the ground.

The Back Brace is a pipe clip that slides onto soffit trim, available for 1" PVC pipe. The clip is 12mm thick.

Both the bases and braces are made from PETG, a fantastic option recommended for seasonal use.

Inside each arch hole is a small channel that lets you route your power cable from inside the arch out through the bottom. To keep tension on the pixel strip inside the tube, connect a small bungee to the strip and wrap it around the 1/2" EMT pipe that sets the spacing between bases.

Buying Guide

• Choose your Color — Black, White, or Green.
• Choose your Arch Style — Dual or Triple Arch Set.
• White Back Braces included — 4 braces matched to your Arch Style come with every bundle.  We chose white for the bundle as it is the most common choice.  Order the parts outside of the bundle for the same cost if you want it in black or green.
• Pipe needed: PEX 1" and PVC or EMT 1/2", see below.
• Hardware needed: see below.

Pipe

• 1" PEX is available at Lowe's, Home Depot, or Menards (Lowe's link shown here).
• Buy the pipe for the arches in 10' sections rather than a bulk roll.
• Cut or buy the EMT and PVC used for arch spacing and legs in 5' sections. If you use a different length of EMT, the measurements below won't line up.
• We cut our arch pipes to these lengths:
  • Outside pipe: 108"
  • Middle pipe: 102"
  • Inner pipe (Triple Arch only): 96"

Drilling the EMT Pipe

• Align the markings on the pipe to the star in our logo on the bottom of the base, and drill while the pipe is inserted in the base.
• For the second hole, insert the EMT into the opposite base and secure it with a bolt. Then slide the pipe into the second base and, with it laying flat on the ground, start the hole. Once it's started, pick the base up and angle it for easier drilling.

Hardware (per set of two arch bases)

All 18-8 stainless steel. This hardware is not included in your order, buy links are below. Prefer zip ties? You can use those instead.

Every set uses 2 EMT bolts (55mm) and 2 PVC bolts (35mm). The arch bolts and nuts depend on your configuration:

• Dual Arch: 8 arch bolts + 12 nuts
• Triple Arch: 12 arch bolts + 16 nuts

Arch bolt length: use 45mm for 1" PEX.
